After Tahno is given his bending back by the ocean spirit, he gives his life in return for being able to save Korra and the gang with god-like waterbending ability. Tahno’s spirit joins with the spirit of the ocean where he meets Yue and do what moon and ocean spirits do with each other etc etc.

Is Tahno from the foggy swamp? If not, if he’s mixed, why is it that he didn’t take any of the Water bending genes?
Tenzin is light-skinned when his siblings are dark skinned, so is it right to assume that AtLA genetics work in a way that a bender only inherits genes of their respective element?
What would happen if the next Avatar has mixed parents? Do they pick up genes like one would do in our world, where it’s a process of what’s more recessive/dominant/combo? Or does the parents need to be of the same nationality for it to work?
